Alyssa was born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii. After high school, she studied education and child development at Oregon State University. During her college breaks, she began teaching at Hawaii Palms and enjoyed it so much that she decided to move to Japan to teach English. She spent 5 years in Shizuoka, Japan where she taught thousands of children. After moving back to Hawaii in August of 2024, she has returned to Hawaii Palms with a new excitement and joy for teaching students from around the world. When she’s not working, she loves playing with her three dogs, bingeing Netflix shows,and eating delicious food with her friends.
